I had to write about a very special thing that happened to me today. I went to the thrift store to look for some dining room chairs that maybe I could repair...(the furniture in my house is largely custom like that). Anyway, I didn't find anything, but as I was leaving, I spied a small specimen jar on the counter...with a specimen in it. The cashier told me she suspected it was some kind of mushroom or something. I was curious so I picked it up and inspected it closely. I noticed it had a knuckle....and a fingernail....yes folks, it was a severed human finger. Completely authentic human finger in a specimen jar that someone decided to kindly donate to the thrift store. I told the cashier all about it and she pretty much screamed for the manager into the intercom while I made my escape....what a day.

What a way to live! Containing very little muscle mass and only swallowing whatever happens to float in front of your face! I often focus and lament the hardships of being a human, but this is not one of those times. :)
